There will be World Individual Deaf Chess Championship to be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 27th September to 7th October 2012. There are 7 different events to be played which are: World Deaf Individual Chess Championship, World Individual Ladies Deaf Chess Championship, World Individual Juniors Deaf Chess Championship, World Individual Deafblind Chess Championship, World Individual Seniors Deaf Chess Championship, Open Individual Deaf Chess Touranment and World Individual Blitz Deaf Chess Championship (1 day only). If you are interested in entering the tournament please contact your club secretary or contact us. The deadline for entering the tournaments is 28th March 2012
The next Scottish Chess Team Championship will be held in Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Falkirk on 24th and 25th March 2012. Please remember that event is being changed from 1 day to 2 days with the number of rounds being increased from 3 rounds to 5. Please contact your club secretary if you are interested in playing into this event or contact us.

There will be Annual Draughts Team Championship to be held on 25th February 2012 at Tayside Deaf Hub. There will be Annual Draughts Individual Championship to be held on 26th February 2012 at Tayside Deaf Hub.
The next Scottish Deaf Chess Congress will be held at Deaf Connections, Glasgow on 5th and 6th November 2011. The next Scottish Deaf Draughts Teams Championship will be held at Tayside Deaf Hub, Dundee during 3rd or 4th Saturday of February 2011. The date will be announced in due course. The next Scottish Deaf Draughts Individual Championship will be held at Tayside Deaf Hub, Dundee during 3rd or 4th Sunday of February 2011. The date will be announced in due course. The next Scottish Deaf Chess Teams Championship will be held at Forth Valley Sensory during 3rd or 4th weekend of February 2011 during 2nd or 3rd weekend of April 2011. The venue may be changed to be held at Deaf Action, Edinburgh. The date will be announced in due course.
In our AGM we are pleased to announce the SCDAD offical which were appointed. Mark Towler is appointed a President for 3 years. John Christie is appointed a Vice-President for 3 years. Colin Simpson is appointed a Secretary for 1 year. Jack Giffen is appointed a Treasurer for 2 years. We inform you there are some changes in our annual touranments. Scottish Deaf Chess Individual Championship is now known as Scottish Deaf Chess Congress. Scottish Deaf Chess Teams Championship will be extended from 3 to 5 rounds over 2 days. West V East Regional Match will be moved to September and will be reduced to 1 match which will be played on morning only. There will be a new tournament after the West V Regional Match which is Scottish Deaf Blitz Chess Championship. Further details will be announced in due course.

There will be ICSC European Club Team Deaf Chess Championship and ICSC Open Deaf Club Team Chess Tournament to be held on 8th to 13th June 2011 in Liverpool, England. There will be 4 players per team, if you are interested to play in the touranment please send an email to secretary@scdad.co.uk or treasurer@scdad.co.uk. Please let us know by 31st March 2011 if you are interested in playing.
